A Book That Left Me Speechless

I got this volume in January 2026, and honestly... I flipped through it thinking "what even is this book?"
The drawings are so large and so beautiful that I immediately wanted to grab every material I own at once. It is the only book that has given me that feeling in a long time.
I usually cut and detach my books neatly to store them in binders. With this one, that is impossible: it is simply too big. But honestly, I do not mind, because it is absolutely stunning.

My Favorite Pages

This volume brings together universes I love: Beauty and the Beast, Inside Out, Moana, Wall-E, and Hercules with Megara.
Beauty and the Beast is always a joy to color, and the warm golden tones of the ballroom scene are especially beautiful at this scale.
But the Wall-E page was the one that surprised me most: in XXL format, the tiny details on his metal body and the starry sky behind him are simply gorgeous.
Hercules and Megara in large format is everything I had been hoping for for years.

Materials I Use on This Book

This is the one book where I pulled out absolutely everything I own, because the drawings genuinely deserve it.
Tooli Art markers work really well here: since everything is single-sided, there is no bleed risk, and the colors pop beautifully across the large areas.
Caran d'Ache Luminance and Polychromos let me build very smooth gradients across the wide skin tones and sky areas.
And for alcohol markers specifically, the single-sided format is just perfect: no restrictions, no bleeding, just pure enjoyment at full scale.

Familiar Drawings? Not a Problem

Some pages do reappear from other Jérémy Mariez volumes, that is true.
But he clearly picked his best illustrations to enlarge, and it genuinely changes everything.
What you already know in A4 becomes a completely different experience in XXL: you notice details you never caught before, and the time spent coloring feels so much richer.
40 pages is the right balance. A 100-page book in this format would probably be too heavy to handle comfortably.

Format in Real Use

Compared with a standard A4 book, the difference is immediate. Characters have room to breathe, backgrounds are not sacrificed, and the immersion is genuinely stronger.
The only real downside: it does not fit in my usual binder system. But I have not cut it apart either, because that would be a shame.

My Verdict

This volume genuinely stands apart in my collection.
It is large, it is heavy, it does not fit in my binder, and yet I do not regret it for a single second.
Jérémy Mariez did something smart: he took the best drawings and gave them a format that finally does them justice.
If you want a book that makes you want to color with everything you own, and leaves you with something truly impressive when you are done, this one absolutely deserves a place in your collection.
